ReceiptCSV

3 free receipts a day · no signup · files never leave your browser

Skip the expense app if all you wanted was a spreadsheet

ReceiptCSV is not a replacement for corporate expense software. It is a browser tool that turns receipts into CSV or Excel, with no account and no required subscription. A small business that files a spreadsheet can stop there.

  • Private by design
  • Lines checked against the total
  • CSV and real .xlsx
  • Batch up to 25 receipts

Drop receipt PDFs or photos here

PDF, JPG, PNG or HEIC · up to 25 at once · combined into one CSV

Read inside your browser. Files are never uploaded or stored.

No receipt handy? Run a sample — always free, never uses a conversion.

Built for receipts. Not invoices.

Store, restaurant, gas, taxi, hotel and online-order receipts — the things you paid for. If a document asks you to pay by a due date, it's an invoice and belongs in a different tool.

How to keep receipts in a sheet instead of an expense app

  1. 1

    Drop the month’s receipts

PDFs from email and photos of paper, up to 25 at a time. There is no receipt inbox to forward mail to, and no mobile app to install.

  2. 2

Download the sheet and add your own categories

You get merchant, date, amounts, tax, tip, and payment method. You do not get policy checks, mileage, or an approval chain. Add a category column in Excel or Sheets if you want one.

  3. 3

Pay only if the free tier is too small

Three successful receipts a day are free. A one-time pack is 50 credits for $19, and those credits do not expire. That pack is not a subscription.

  4. 4

    Treat $9/month as optional

Unlimited conversions are $9 a month if you convert receipts every week. Cancel from the Stripe receipt email; it runs until the end of the period you paid. You can ignore that plan entirely.

Example rows a small shop might archive: fuel in euros and a grocery line in dollars, from the bundled samples. There is no “submitted” or “approved” status in this file because ReceiptCSV doesn’t have those states. Payment method is the card or wallet printed on the receipt.

The details

What you are giving up

Receipt forwarding to an email address, corporate-card matching, mileage, per diems, manager approval, reimbursement status, and a company policy engine. If those are the job, use software built for them. This page is for the case where those features are the reason you don’t want another subscription.

What you keep

A private conversion: the file is read in the browser and never uploaded. A preview that checks line items against the total. CSV and a real Excel workbook. US and European dates and amounts normalized into the same columns.

The practical next step is often an expense-report spreadsheet you already know how to email.

No subscription required

The free tier needs no card. The $19 pack is a single Stripe payment for 50 credits, one credit per receipt that converts, and it does not renew. The $9 monthly plan exists for people who want unlimited conversions; it is optional, and you cancel it from Stripe’s receipt, not from an account you don’t have. Both links are on pricing.

A scanner without an app account

Phone photos use on-device OCR. There is still no login. The scanner page covers the camera button, HEIC, and why a PDF beats a picture. Purchases stay in the browser you paid in.
