What a credit is

A credit is one successful conversion of one receipt file. It is not a page, a line item, or a whole batch.

What spends a credit

  • One PDF or one photo that comes back with a total and a preview you can download.
  • Photos and PDFs cost the same. There is no OCR surcharge.
  • A multi-page PDF is still one file. Text is read for up to six pages; a scan with no text layer is OCR’d for up to three pages.
  • In a batch, each receipt that succeeds spends one conversion: today’s free allowance first, then one credit each. The combined file is not a single credit.

What never spends one

  • The four built-in samples.
  • Password-protected PDFs, files over 20 MB, and types other than PDF, JPG, PNG, HEIC, HEIF, or WebP.
  • Photos and scans we can’t read, documents with no total, and files that look like invoices.
  • The free tier: 3 successful conversions per day in this browser, before any credits are used.

Bought credits never expire and they are not a subscription. They stay in this browser. Clearing site data or switching devices removes them — the contact page is how that gets sorted out, with your Stripe receipt. The $9/month plan is the one you cancel; the $19 pack is a one-time purchase.
